When I was a boy I played with little cardboard Christmas villages from the local dime store, driving my matchbox cars up and down the pretend streets. My sandbox provided a snowy background. Today my paper and glass-glitter villages are inspired by the beautiful old neighborhoods of Columbus, where I was born and have lived for most of my life.I design the buildings on a computer then carefully hand cut them from archival museum board. Each one takes about two hours to build. Vellum windows, glass glitter and tiny icicles complete the frosty look. They are crafted with heirloom quality and will last for generations. I hope they capture the enduring charm of Christmas on a snowy street in the Midwest…
