Weaving with Sarah Harste

Enjoy these step-by-step instructions on how to weave on a cardboard loom with your kiddos! I made this video as a part of @notyourmamascraftmarket kid tutorials for parents with their kiddos home from school right now. If you have any questions, let me know! I realized I forgot to say in the video how long of a yarn piece you should be weaving with at a time: usually 24-48" and I suggest you continue to gauge as your child weaves with it. If you feel like they have to keep cutting yarn every minute or so, cut them a longer piece; if the piece is getting tangled easily or seems like it's too much for them to handle, cut them a shorter piece. Kids weaving kits are now available in the Etsy shop for pick-up at my home in Clintonville (use code “CBUSPICKUP”) or to be shipped. I have a few free ones available for those in need/out of work. Please DM me for more details. Share with your friends and please tag me if you share photos of your creations! Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️❤️

Found object desk art inspired by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and a random stack of rocks in Jeni’s office (don’t ask 🤔). We foraged our neighborhood for flat rocks, then painted them a rainbow of neon colors. Personalize you own rock stacks by mixing and matching colors!

Did you know that the 2 weeks around St. Patrick’s Day the Leprechaun are out looking for treasures!?!?!

They are tricky little guys are we want to see one. Make a Leprechaun at home by following our tutorial on the Not Your Mama’s Craft Market Instagram page. Click on Leprechaun Trap in the highlights!

Once your trap is ready to go, keep an eye on it to see if you catch one! Leprechauns are very mischievous, so look around the house for things out of place and little messes. That is how you know one is nearby.

Parents, Click Here for instructions on what to do with your Leprechaun if you catch one.
